Data Scientist

Job description

You are part Technologist, part Consultant with a passion for creating innovative solutions for customers using Salesforce. You will be responsible for bringing customized Salesforce project implementations to life by working closely with our customers to understand their business, contact center systems, identify their requirements, and design, develop, QA and launch their solutions.  We are building a best-in-class delivery team and this role will have the opportunity to make significant contributions to our success by working with the rest of our talented team, exciting customers, and partnering closely with our A.I. team!

Responsibilities:

As a Data Scientist, you will be intimately involved with machine learning and natural language processing applications within the Salesforce Ecosystem. It will cover a broad range of activities in all project phases, including the design, development, and optimization of the system. You will:

  • Work across application development teams to ensure best possible model performance and user experience in deployed systems
  • Deliver analysis results to our customers to help drive their customer care application performance forward. Come up with creative new ideas to improve experience and increase automation
  • Develop methodologies, scripts, procedures that improve efficiency and quality
  • Enhance algorithms and develop tools that facilitate development of new systems and optimization of machine learning components

Qualifications:

General:

  • Good programming skills, preferably with a scripting language such as Perl or Python
  • Excited about working with customers to optimize systems for their unique requirements and to apply empirical data to generate successes.
  • Highly independent and capable of fulfilling multiple project commitments concurrently
  • Experience processing, filtering, and presenting large quantities (100K to Millions of rows) of data
  • Experience with statistical analysis, regression modeling and forecasting, time series analysis, data mining, financial analysis, and demand modeling
  • Passionate about analyzing data to solve problems and improve systems
  • Experience with big data technology such as Hadoop, Spark, Impala, or other NoSQL tools
  • Strong proven communication skills including the ability to convey complex issues in a simple and straight forward manner, as well as the ability to work as part of a project team
  • Strong foundational knowledge and experience with distributed systems and computing systems

Preferred Skills:

  • Broad understanding and experience of real-time analytics, NoSQL data stores (especially Graph Databases), data modeling and data management, analytical tools, languages, or libraries.
  • Specific tools include R, Spark, MLlib, Python, and Java.
  • A background in Data Science, or related fields
  • Experience with pattern recognition, machine learning, linguistics, or text processing knowledge
  • Knowledge of statistical data analysis
  • Master’s degree or higher in Engineering, Math, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, or other technical field from an accredited university
  • Coursework or previous work experience in human computer interaction, usability studies, or statistics
  • Demonstrated experience incubating and commercializing new ideas, working closely with product managers, research scientists and technical teams from concept generation through implementation
  • Prior data science experience leading complex projects to solve business problems
  • Prior experience working within the Salesforce ecosystem

Working closely with and reporting to our Director of Innovation & Salesforce, the Salesforce Developer Consultant will be responsible for bringing Salesforce project implementations to life by working with our customers to understand their business, identify their requirements, and design, develop, QA and launch their solutions.
